Our First Family Vacation

My new favorite picture of my boy.

Our very first family vacation was quite a success. Paco got to go to camp for a couple of days and we headed down south. Maddox checked off a long list of firsts for this trip. He met his Alabama great grandparents and all of his great aunts and uncles and cousins too. He flew on his first airplane and put his toes in the ocean for the first time. He did great through all of it. Even through the 5 hours he spent in the Montgomery, Alabama airport. (not recommended) We had a great time visiting with all of our family even though the Florida sunshine was nowhere to be seen all day Saturday. We did get a good morning of sunshine and beach time on Sunday before we headed back north. Maddox seemed to enjoy the beach and watching the ocean, although the water was a bit too cold. He screamed as soon as his toes hit the water. We forgot his sun hat so we had to make do with a doo-rag. All in all it was a great time and we can’t wait to go back.
Thanks to Aunt Merry for the wonderful hospitality and Laura for letting us use your luxurious sleeping quarters. Thanks to Grandmother for the yummy cooking. That should get us through till Thanksgiving:) And thanks Grandaddy and all the extended Peavy family for the good visiting time. We were proud to introduce our boy to all that love. Oh, and a HUGE thanks to everyone who put so much hard work into the beach cabin restoration project. It looks amazing and we are thrilled that we will all be able to enjoy it for years to come.
Some quality time with his Great Grandmother.
Great Grandaddy shares some good stories with Maddox.
