Las Quatro Harwoods

A Happy New Year Indeed

A Harwood family road trip marked the beginning of the new year. We loaded up the car, talked a friend into keeping Paco and headed south to Atlanta for a great weekend. We stayed with Aunt Becky and Uncle John (and of course cousin Anna and doggie Riley:) for the weekend and had a plethora of adventures. Friday night Robyn and I went to the Fox Theater to see the Avett Brothers concert. Our first concert in about 18 months. And wow! What a place for a show. Maddox decided to take advantage of us leaving him with extended family and stayed up late himself watching football with uncle John.

Saturday morning we got up early and visited the Georgia Aquarium. Amazing! Maddox loved it, and I did too. There was soo much to see, we were a little overwhelmed. We will definitely head back there in the future. After lunch and a brief nap, we headed over to the Botanical Gardens where they were having a special holiday train exhibit. Maddox and mommy got to ride the special train and then we went inside to see the garden train. We wrapped up the day with a little family time and some yummy chili with the whole Marshall family.
Sunday brought us slowly back to reality as we headed back north and to the end of our excellent winter vacation. I can’t think of a better way to have spent the first 3 days of 2010.

Maddox was mesmerized the moment we walked in
