We are having a good time showing off our little beauty. It has been great introducing Josie to all our friends and family over the last couple of weeks. Hard to believe she’s almost two weeks old already. She’s proven to have what it takes to be a Harwood, eats like a champ. She was back to her birth weight in a week and hasn’t looked back. It is amazing how much time I can pass just staring at her. Her little face already has so much expression. Robyn swears she’s already smiling at her. I wouldn’t be surprised. She’s got a lot to smile about. Maddox continues to cover her with kisses and gentle pats. He always seems to have one eye on her and he’s loved sharing the back seat with her on a couple of car rides lately. I won’t claim there haven’t been any fits of jealousy slipping in there, but overall he’s done great.
Time flies when you aren’t sleeping
Maddox continues to make us laugh each and every day. (We won’t talk about how he makes us feel at bed time right now. No reason to ruin the moment.) Last night he told Robyn, “Mommy, don’t talk to me or look at me right now.” This was as he worked his way over to climb up on the kitchen counter. He’s quite the creative little fella.
I had a conversation with a friend today about how wonderful, and hard, it is to be a parent. It is true. Each day no matter how tired I am, or how many times I was awakened in the night, I honestly cannot wait to see what these two have in store for me. Give thanks.
Sweet sweet girl
