Well . I guess it’s pretty much game time. Bags are packed, well kind of anyway. Eight bags to check, and carry-ons as well. Wrapped up a lot of loose ends with my financial estate tonight, ha, and now I’m just wondering what we’ve forgotten. I can’t imagine we forgot too much since we’ve been back and forth to the Wal-Mart and Target quite a few times in the last couple of days. Minus the dirty rats at the airline that tried to keep me from my good seats on the overnight flight and the thirty minute phone call in a rage that resulted in a somewhat satisfactory conclusion, things seem to be going alright. If we can get all of Josie’s baby dolls in the bags tomorrow I think everything really will be alright. That might put us over the weight limit though. That girl has a couple of dolls. Funny thing is I only remember Robyn buying her one. We got to keep an eye one them babies!
Kids have had a great week. They’ve played with their cousins about nonstop all week. Made a trip to the children’s museum, Olde Forest racquet club, (crazy time traveling kind if thing), the playground, the trails and the yard. Maddox made it over to the trampoline next door within a few minutes of our arrival in Monday. I think he enjoys the company of Callie. She’s cute and tough and he worked hard to get her to pay attention to him. Funny. There’s a long road ahead little buddy. A long road.
Robyn and I got a walking tour of downtown with Carey and got to see his new studio. It was good to have some quality time with my brother. That doesn’t happen too terribly often. I guess it won’t any time soon either.
Just sitting in my parents den now chatting with Sig and watching a Doc Watson documentary. Just another night, but not really.
Just saw another Bob quote I liked a day or two ago.
Some people feel the rain. Others just get wet.
I feel like our family is about to go out and play in the rain.
